TMJ Problems
What is TMJ? It's the easy way to say "temporo-mandibular
joint." The TMJ is the joint that lets your lower jaw move. The
movement in this joint lets you open and close your mouth and chew from
side to side. If your teeth don't fit together properly (this is called
the bite), the TMJ and your jaw muscles may be affected.
TMJ problems not only include jaw discomfort, but can also lead to neck
and shoulder pain and severe headaches. Is that all? Check this out:
TMJ problems can affect swallowing, speaking and your appearance!
